Job Title: I&C Technician
Location: Barakah Nuclear Power Plant, Abu Dhabi
Project: Maintenance Outage (March 2025)
Mobilization: January 2025

Job Summary:
We are seeking skilled and experienced I&C Technicians to join our team for the maintenance outage at Barakah Nuclear Power Plant. The successful candidates will perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of instrumentation and control (I&C) systems, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, industry standards, and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance, calibration, testing, and repair of I&C systems and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to sensors, transmitters, actuators, controllers, and DCS/PLC systems.
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures, plant regulations, and industry standards.
  • Conduct inspections and functional testing of I&C systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and team members to ensure smooth execution of tasks.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, including test results and reports.
  • Follow work schedules and adhere to timelines during the maintenance outage.
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools, testing equipment, and personal protective gear.

Requirements:

  • Total Technical Experience: 10+ years in I&C maintenance in industrial or high-risk settings.
  • Prior experience in the following areas is required:
    • DCS (Distributed Control Systems)
    • PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers)
    • Instrumentation calibration and testing
    • Control valves, positioners, and actuators
    • Pressure, temperature, flow, and level sensors
    • Safety instrumented systems (SIS)
    • Emergency shutdown systems (ESD)
    • Vibration monitoring systems
  • Prior experience working in a nuclear power plant or similar critical industrial facility is highly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of I&C systems, standards, and maintenance practices.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting P&IDs, loop diagrams, and control schematics.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
