Decontamination Technician
Job Description
We are looking for experienced Decontamination Supervisors & Technicians to work on Nuclear Power Plant outages in the UAE. The mobilization period is March-June 2024, and the contract duration is long-term and short-term (Both).
Positions Available:
- Decontamination Supervisor
- Senior Decontamination Technician
- Junior Decontamination Technician
Summary:
The Decontamination Technician is responsible for the decontamination of personnel and equipment to protect them from radiological hazards. The incumbent will work closely with the Senior Radiation Protection Technician to develop and implement decontamination plans, and to ensure that all decontamination activities are carried out in a safe and effective manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct radiological surveys to identify contaminated areas and personnel.
- Select and implement appropriate decontamination methods and techniques.
- Monitor the effectiveness of decontamination activities and ensure that all residual contamination is removed.
- Maintain and calibrate decontamination equipment.
- Prepare and maintain decontamination records.
- Train and supervise other decontamination personnel.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Prior experience in nuclear power plants
- Refueling outage experience
- Training in radiation protection
- Fluency in English
Salary:
Salary depends on the candidate’s experience in nuclear power plants, the number of outages they have worked on, and their interview with the client.
